Speaking of "weaning"...
Wonder of ALL wonders! I wrote every day in November and the icing on the cake is that I actually won something! That's right, I'm a big weaner, uh, I mean winner!
The delightful Eden, A.K.A. Ms. Kennedy, was the Grand Mistress of the National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) and many generous bloggers out there donated prizes for a random drawing at the end among the survivors. And, I ended up lucking out by winning my choice of a print from Jim's wonderful photography (Go check it out, there's some really amazing shots on his site!)
A big thanks goes out to Jim for offering up the gift and Eden for hosting the blog fest. While there have been a few who have complained about there not being prizes for best blog post, etc, I think most who participated really get the whole point of this thing--and that's to get people out there and writing regularly. I can say whole-heartedly that it's been a great exercise and a challenge for me and I'll gladly join in again next year!

congrats! that's so neat to have something to show for all your posts!
Yay you! :)
That's AWESOME! Good for you!
How way cool :) I think it's great that everyone got a chance to win something if they participated.
"Best Blog Post" is so arbitrary really. What may be the "Best" to someone is more than likely not the "Best" to someone else, you know? I think it's much cooler that you all had a shot at a prize!
Thanks, everyone! And, Angela, I totally agree with you on that Best Blog Post thing.
Congratulations!
